Dog Owners

Please be a good neighbor and a responsible pet owner, by obeying the following ordinances pertaining to dogs.

1. Animal Noise:  Excessive barking, disturbing noises, etc. are prohibited.
2. Animal Clean-up:  Feces must be picked up and disposed of in a sanitary manner.  You must have suitable equipment in your possession to do so.
3. Dogs are not allowed to freely run off of your property, they need to be leashed or under the control of a responsible person at all times.  Dogs running at large will be picked up, and any impound and penalty fees will be the owner's responsibility.
4. Licensing is required for all dogs over three months of age, limit of three dogs per household.
5. Dog license tab must be worn at all times.  A license, which is available at the city offices, is $20.00 for the life of the dog.
